DeleteWe also can't wait to return, sure hoping it can be this summer but I'm worried about all the obstacles to overcome. I'm wondering what will be the new normal whenever we do get there. There will obviously be a lot of pent-up demand once tourism opens up again so the town will be more packed than ever. With crowded beaches, pools, restaurants, and bars, social distancing under these conditions just doesn't seem realistic. Also the elevators?
ReplyDeletePerhaps they will do temperature checks at the border to at least keep out people who are showing virus symptoms (even longer lines, ouch)? Maybe the same at checkpoints around the town perimeter? Will the idea be to just try to lower the odds so you roll the dice if you visit? Anyway just some things I keep wondering about that I hope smarter people than me will be able to resolve eventually so we can all enjoy our favorite getaway again!

Hello, Have spent 7 weeks in RP due to Covid and have had the opportunity to spend some time at Las Palmas for repairs, cleaning etc. Notice a big difference in the maintenance items around the resort, and thanks for all the hard work. Have one question I have asked Oswaldo but cannot get a response. When purchased in 2015, the resort had both Spanish and English channels for the cable service, It is now currently all Spanish. I know there is a way to provide both, and would like to know if we can pursue this option, without mounting our own dishes on roof and creating separate accounts. I would be happy to work with someone there to accomplish this if I get a green light.

DeleteHello all, Hope everyone is safe and healthy. The Pandemic and the issues returning to Rocky Point has put a huge financial strain on all of us, including the Resort. Quarterly fees are due and the amount has increased. At one of the board meetings, the statement on the impact fees being so much higher then other resorts was that our dues were allot lower, helping owners with out of pocket expense. Both the fees has been increased, with a vote on impact fees being increased at the Board Meeting only. The HOA fees are now only 65 $ less a month at the Sonoran Resorts, and the impact fee per night is 13 $ higher, per night for a two bedroom rental. This is just an FYI that I am hearing people talking at the other resorts that with the fees and booking charges for LP, it is as much and in some cases more than other resorts, whose amenities are always up and running. Hopefully we can bring this up and discuss at the next meeting to insure we are attracting renters who along with kid's and family, normally stay longer, resulting in increased revenue. With the great things going on now, I know we will be very healthy sooner than later. This is future food for thought.

ReplyDeleteNoise! Easter here was anything but enjoying. Something must be done about people coming in with those razors with the loud speakers, going in the garages doing wheelies, kids drinking and yelling, one left screaming out of here at 5 am!Its destroying the serenity of buying here, with people having no consideration of others and nothing being done about it! Also, why if we have our owners badge we cannot get a towel for our guest without having to go up to the hi office & get s band to wear?? Very inconvenient when we are wearing proof we own here!
